A new puppy

Austin has been asking for a lab for a long time, almost since Christmas. I was pretty sure that I convinced him out of it when his daddy came home about 2 months ago and said a co worker of his was going to have lab puppies. Austin over heard and just about freaked out in excitement. At that point I still wasnt sure about getting a big dog and one that sheds!!! Cody also has been asking for one to have for bird hunting. So I caved in and said ok. So on Father's Day we went and got our little Mia. We have had her 4 days and she is so sweet and doing very well on potty training. She turned 6 weeks old today and for a young pup we have only had 6 accidents in the house in 4 days. Not to bad. I will post some picks as soon as I can. My son is in love and very protective over his dog. I must say I am in lve with her too. She is a great addition to the family and our other dog, Sierra doesnt seem to mind her much. They get along pretty well.

I MADE IT!!!

I got through my first week of school... It is easier than I thought and harder than I thought. The math I thought was going to be the hardest of it, which dont get me wrong it ws hard but I did better than I thought. I havent taken a math course in 7 years so I was rusty but it came back to me fast. Dividing fractions was my hardest. Those fractions anyways. The hardest of all is finding time to study. 3 kids dont really allow me to do that and by the time I get home from school I am tired. But that is the best time to do it so 3 am is my bed time. I need to find some time other than bed time. The kids and Cody are doing better than I thought too. Its amazing how much Cody has taken on because I am not there. The kids are excited for me and feel so much better during the day when I go. The adjustment isnt easy but it is doable for any one. Trust me if you are considering school with kids, you can do it. It is a very good thing for me. Wish me luck for my first real test on Monday. And if you have any ideas on study techniques or how to get it done with kids, let me know, I am open to any ideas!!

All good things in life!!!

Last night was my first day of class. It was so fun but so long. The class is about 4 hours and we get 1 to 2 breaks. We took 2 fairly easy quizes and had to do a 1 minute introductary of a colleague in front of the whole class, which there is 19 of us!! I felt as if I was going to to faint, but I did pretty good!! I am so excited for this jouney and cant wait for another day of class!!

Bryce has been really fascinated with the Cars!! From the movie to the toys in the stores or to clothes with the Cars on it.... He loves it all!! So Katelyn bought a Disney cd for her birthday and it has a song from the movie and when Bryce heard that, oh my gosh, He screamed for ever and was dancing like a mad man!! It was so funny and he know some of the words!! It was way too cute!! He also gets so mad when that song is over cause he wants it on over and over again!!

Katelyn fiished her summer packet, So now what??? Katelyn got a 30 page book from the teacher to keep her busy... Well she got up one morning and she had all but 2 pages done!! And she finished those two the next day!! I was kinda mad at her for getting it done cause it was gonna be homework for 30 nights. Bless her though for getting it done and doing it right!! She is way to smart!! anyone got any ideas on how to keep her busy now????

Austin is loving but hating Katelyn being home all day with them for the summer... He loves her games for the most part but when she gets over motherly and overly bossy he gets annoyed!! I thought is was going to be worse to have them all home, I thought there would be more fighting and bickering, but it is going fairly well... not to much fighting. Austin has always been a very mellow child and so he has just been hanging out...

I am going to be a school girl again!!!

So for the last few years, I have been really passionate about going to school to be an RN. Well I took the first steps and am first going into the medical assisting field.... It is just a start to great and better things and I am super excited to start and prove to myself and my family and friends that it is possible with 3 kids and a very full schedule!!

After Bryce got RSV, I really took it hard and went through a depression state of mind, where I sat by his bed side in the hospital for almost 2 weeks 24-7 and the RN that was there most of the time was the best, she sat and listened to me vent about the situation and was a friend more than a nurse... She really changed how I felt abot why it happened to our family... I want to do that, make people feel better about themselves and better about life... That going through problems with health is an ok thing and anyone can get through it.

I am very passionate about going back but the routine of it all is alittle scary..... I am going to go to Stevens- Henager for the 20 month program in the evening... I have orientation tonight and I am nervous but excited.... I will be taking evening classes from 6 to 9:50 2 or 3 days aweek starting on Monday... I guess I feel a little guilt of it all as well knowing that Cody will be working full time and have to do the night time routine by himself and the kids wont have kisses from me everynight before bed!! I know it really is the best thing for us and I am bettering myself and the family, but I cant keep from thinking that I might be a little selfish by going back to school now and taking that time for my kids.... With summer here and family going to be down I am going to miss it a little!!
I know I sound like it is forever and I know that it is 20 months, but I have to tell my self that we will get through it and 20 months is right there!! It will be fast and this family will better because of it!! So tell me your opinion are these feelings normal and am I being a little hard on my self about my kids????

Thanks for reading and letting me vent on the computer, i was nice to get it out!!

Games to Play

For the last few months we have been super busy with game nights with a few of the friends!! Calise and Kellen introduced us to Settlers, a great board game, and we love it... It has been awhile since we have played and so I am starting to miss it alittle..... Lindsay and Gunner introduced us to Rockband on Xbox!! This is a great game. With our whole band going now we have officially gone on tour.... We are pretty famous all over the world!! This is a must!! Even the kids like it alot... Katelyn loves to sing and Austin and Bryce love the drums!!! We played tonight over at Gunner and Lindsays and it was great!! What a nice middle of the week game!!! Next is game night with Settlers!! I am ready to beat Calise at it!!! If you need any great games to play try these 2!! Good Times!!!

Alot accomplished in one weekend!!!

This weekend was super busy with us having a tball party on Friday and it was great to have a Awesome season end that way!! All the parents pitched in and got a bounce house for the kids and we had a bbq!! It was nice to get to talk to the parents and get to see the kids outside of tball!! I really am going to miss the team!!

After the party, A few girls and I went out dancing and just let loose!! I really needed a girls night out!!! Even though I had a little to much to drink we had a great time!! It has been over a year since a girls day out and I love to dance!!

Also Saturday was Katelyn's birthday with the friends and again what a great time!! She got some great gifts and I loved to spend some time with my closest friends... We went to planet kid and it was fun for the kids just to run around and get their energy out!! We had 3 little girls there, which I will never do again to the bickering and whining!! Next year it is one friend of my choice!!! I think the girls spent more time tattle tailing then actually playing!! But Katelyn had a great time!!

After bringing the girls home we went to Twin Falls to help Codys grandma with her yard!! She had a corner that was bare and she always wanted a pond so that is what we did!! After 17 hours of working there we got it done!! Putting in a pond is alot of work!! But it turned out great I am so proud that my husband got it done!! We learned a lot about us together and being a team!! The boys loved helping, digging the hole for the placement of the pond and the after of it buying the fish!! It was a lot of work but it turned out really good and most of all Codys grandma loved it!

We got to see some friends from Twin and had a little birthday party that night we arrived for Katelyn cause Codys family didnt get to spend it here with us... She got to buy a few outfits and She got a awesome new bed!! She was so excited!!! With Cody's sister home from college forthe summer Katelyn followed her around and Heather got a buddy all weekend!! It was great entertainment for sis!!!

Before a long drive home Cody and the boys feel asleep after all the hard work they put in!! It was so fun to see each of them work so hard and yet be so tired!! Poor guys!!!

After a long weekend we still had the energy to put her bed together last night after we got home at 9:30.. Finishing about midnight and getting her in her bed was such a great accomplishment of all we did this weekend!!

I am so proud that we have a great family. With all the help from the boys and Katelyn and her great big heart and her thanking everyone for the gifts over and over shows me how much my kids have grown and what great young people they are becoming!!
